Epic Games has eliminated the restriction of having a Fortnite Mobile for Android invite from the company or your friends to play with the game. You can download the game through Epic’s own website or Samsung’s storefront. Deciding on the former prompts you to permit the Fortnite Installer to download via your browser, whereas the latter sends you to the Samsung Galaxy Apps store. After enabling our device to install apps from non-Google verified sources, we were on our way. The Fortnite Installer download was about 4MB and tapping it left us with 1.88GB download size to get Fortnite Mobile itself.
It is strange that Epic has allowed a wider audience to access Fortnite Mobile on Android despite severe performance problems. At this juncture, it is not anywhere near the best experience on flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy Notice 9$61,900 at which it lacks visual punch existing Apple’s hardware. Even though it’s better than on other Android devices when you consider that it doesn’t get as warm and plays just as well, essential when you consider the competitive nature of the sport – it’s strong over longer sessions of play. Here are the minimum requirements required to run Fortnite Mobile on Android.
Fortnite Android minimum requirements
OS: Android 8.0 or higher, 64 bit
RAM: 4GB or Greater
GPU: Adreno 530 or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or Greater
Epic Games boss Tim Sweeney confirmed that Fortnite will bypass the Google Play Store, rather it is available via a client referred to as the Fortnite Installer or the Samsung shop. Reason being, the company does not believe in providing”open platforms” like the Google Play Store 30 percent of Fortnite’s earnings.
“First, Epic wishes to have a direct relationship with our customers on all platforms where that’s possible. The excellent thing about the Internet and the digital revolution is that this is possible, now that physical storefronts and middlemen vendors are no longer needed,” Sweeney stated in conversation with Touch Arcade. “Second, we are motivated by economic efficiency. The 30 percent store tax is a high cost in a world where game developers’ 70 percent has to cover all of the expense of developing, operating, and supporting their games.”
