Intel has Embraced Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Because of its Newest graphics driver Launch, Also has announced that all drivers Moving forward will Utilize this new framework.
UWP drivers, also known as Windows Modern Drivers, are intended to be single packages which can be installed on almost any Windows device. This is intended to cover a variety of versions of Windows including the server and desktop variants, in addition to all kinds of hardware, from PCs to embedded devices and even future form factors. The distribution model is similar to that of programs and games which are dispersed through the Microsoft Store for a variety of versions of Windows on various sorts of hardware. Microsoft began requiring that hardware makers release such drivers with the arrival of their Windows 10 October 2018 upgrade (variant 1809, or Redstone 5), even though heritage drivers will still be supported.

This driver release in particular, which is officially called Intel Graphics Driver 100.6444, also supports the integrated GPUs from 6th Gen’Skylake’ and newer Core processors.
