Samsung Galaxy S10 owners are reporting a Problem with their smartphones Following the most recent software update.
This update causes the users to be locked from their smartphones and they cannot appear to get past the lock display place the update. A Samsung Galaxy S10 user Verizon took to Reddit to report that their apparatus has locked them out. Presently, the only way of getting beyond the lock display would be to perform a factory reset. A Samsung user on the Samsung Community webpage who claims to be a Verizon representative suggests entering the wrong password multiple times to trigger a factory reset. A few users on the Samsung community took their Galaxy S10 device to Verizon to get it to reset while someone was able to reset the device using the proposed method.
This method, however, will wipe the entire smartphone and anything not backed up will be lost it it wasn’t backed up. Samsung will need to think of a more convenient way to appease users. The Safe Mode accepts the passcode and permits you to backup information on the smartphone. The same user also suggest to prepare the Samsung Locate My Mobile feature since it’s a remote unlock function.
The issue seems to be specific to the US and has largely influenced Verizon users. AT&T users will also be said to be affected by this upgrade. The cause of this matter is said to be the June security patch introduced by Verizon and AT&T last week. Samsung Galaxy S10 users will be the most influenced by this issue while some Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e users have also reported similar issues.
