Only a few days ago, Vivo unveiled its new sub-brand iQoo.
The sub-brand is touted to maintain its attention on futuristic premium goods, and the very first phone to start under the Iqoo branding could be a foldable telephone. Pictures of this first alleged iQoo phone have been leaked on Weibo, and the images suggest that the device will be a foldable smartphone that converts to a tablet computer when unfolded. To recall, Samsung is thought to be planning to unveil a foldable phone next week, and recent escapes suggest that the phone will sport a fold-in layout.
The device, when folded, can be used as a smartphone and when unfolded, reveals another display to turn it into a tablet. The screen, in the smartphone mode, shows four star columns on the display, giving us a reasonable idea of the overall property of the gadget.
The alleged leaked photographs suggest that there will be negligible bezels up front, with no holes for the selfie camera. This suggests that Vivo may embed it below the screen or opt for a pop-up mechanism.
Apart from the photographs, there is little else that the tipster has revealed. The phone is tipped to be pricedaround CNY 5,000 (approximately Rs. 53,000), and may arrive soon. But, there has been no official word in Vivo or iQoo regarding the gadget.
Talking about the foldable mobiles, Samsung is set to unveil its initial foldable smartphone in the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event on February 20 in San Francisco. Based on the current escapes, the telephone is predicted to have one screen when folded, and will reveal two screens inside when unfolded like a book.
