Windows 10 Starts Showing Android Device Notifications via Your Phone App: Microsoft

In its Fresh Insider Preview Build for Windows 10, Microsoft is working on a feature as part of its”Your Phone” software that would display notifications received on Android smartphones on PC Displays.

Launched in 2018,”Your Telephone” is a program for Windows 10 that allowed users to view current photos taken on Android cellphone directly on a Windows 10 PC and to send SMS messages from a computer.

“If you enable apps to show alarms on PCs, you can learn about an important message or status update without reaching for your handset,” Engadget documented on Sunday.

The new preview build is allowing insiders to see incoming phone notifications in real time, customise notifications and clear notifications individually or all at the same time.

“Boost your attention and productivity by seeing your telephone’s notifications on your computer. You’re in control and handle which programs you want to get notifications from. Dismiss a telling on one device and it goes away on the other,” the company composed in a blog post.

Users testing the feature need apparatus running Android 7.0 Nougat with 1GB RAM.

“You can’t react to notifications (at least not yet), but this might be especially vital for Snapchat and other apps which don’t actually have a presence on the desktop,” Engadget added.
